A.C. Fairbanks Whyte Laydie NO 2, 1906, VGC. SN 23872. Thin rimmed classic early Whyte Laydie model, 27” scale, 1 1/4” width at the nut, 10 15/16” rim. Consalvi engraved inlay (confirmed by one who knows). Note some peg head veneer replacement just above the nut. Repaired heel veneer - crack is visible. Lighter than later model WLs this banjo is a pleasure to play. Set up for clawhammer but room to lower the action. Note photo of fret board wear in lower positions and the unusual brass 5th string ‘capo’ at the 10th fret. That and the 5th string bone nut are not original to the instrument and added before my ownership. I found the fretboard wear didn’t affect playing. Comes with similar era bump case in need of a handle and glueing/restoration. Carefully packed, fully insured, USPS Priority shipping. Timely returns honored for a full sale price refund. Please feel free to contact me for more info and or photos. Thanks, Corey
