About This Listing

"Bring Tone to Life"

Bought brand new as a loaded pickguard but never used/installed, I have listed here a set of David Allen Hot Rock pickups for a Fender Stratocaster. A unique feature on this pickguard is the push/pull lower tone control that (if I recall correctly) activates all 3 pickups. Below is the description per the maker's website:

"Hot Rock single coil pickups with alnico 5 magnets for a full balanced tone This is a higher output set but still plays clean with clear note definition and is very responsive. It brings a full meaty tone to the mids but still retains glassy highs do to the special wire and scatter pattern we use. This set will drive your amp hard but has tonal range not just mids. All positions wound in the 7 K ranges. Great for Rock, Blues, Funk, takes effects extremely well. You can get this set to play very smooth with a little dirt added in. Hand beveled cast alnico magnets, laser cut hand punched and hand beveled flat work, lacquer dipped, scatter wound, Special wax potted to reduce microphonics, USA Vintage Cloth Hook Up wire, RWRP middle All 43 Ga PE wire Resistance Neck 7.2 Middle 7.4 Bridge 7.8K, Magnet spacing Neck 50mm, middle and bridge 52mm."
