This is really rare cool early production Howard Roberts model from 1967 w/a gorgeous rich Sunburst finish over a nicely figured carved Spruce top w/walnut stained maple back & side panels. Its beautiful full sized wide 1 piece mahogany neck w/its 1 11/16″ nut width feels fabulous. Its got a white bound Rosewood fingerboard w/etched block inlays. You get a killer variety of jazz tones thru its Oval Soundhole & floating chrome mini-humbucker. She is still sporting her original optional nickel “Ribbed-back” Deluxe Kluson tuners, its 2 witch hat knobs compliment its white 3 layer pickgard w/its original “E” logo. All of its nickel hardware is clean & from its wooden bridge to its cool trapeze tailpiece. Its got no label. Its a very rare & highly unusual example w/a double stamped serial # from both 1967 & 1968. She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities. Other than some slight play time, she’s an exceptional original example & comes in its original soft-shell factory case.
