Schecter C-1 Elite Diamond Series with Lollar pickups
Selling an absolutely phenomenal, "player's guitar". This was purchased new by me - I love the light weight, very comfortable neck (fret finishing is fantastic), as well as the look. This is a mahogany guitar, with glued-in neck, double humbucker with coil tapping, and three-position toggle. Grover tuners are smooth and reliable. Nice abalone inlays, as well.
I decided to upgrade the stock ("Duncan designed") pickups with Jason Lollar "El Rayo" pickups. These are phenomenal pickups - clear and articulate, through all gain ranges, and tone settings. (I also upgraded to RS Guitarworks pots, including the "treble bleed" mod, which ensures clear top end, even when you roll off the guitar volume.) A good guitarist will attest that most of the cool voices a guitar has, come through slight adjustments to the volume knob - controlling gain. These pickups and pots will give a huge range of tones, with clarity.
My original desire was to have a low-output humbucker guitar that combined the wood/pickups of a Les Paul with the playability of a Strat. This fits the bill and more. It was used in church exclusively, through vox, fender and mesa amps, as well as amp/cab simulators. It's just a really great guitar that will serve someone really well. One could easily spend twice this as much on one of the "big name" guitars, and not get an instrument that's as playable and versatile as this.
I have a hardshell case for this, but it is very heavy, and will make shipping pricey (need to get an estimate). For now, I will include a gig bag (not pictured) and will ship well-padded. Thanks for looking!
