Shinola partnered with VPI founder Harry Weisfield and son Mat, the premier American maker of turntables for almost 40 years. Shinola Audio is the result of over a year of close partnership between Shinola and some of the best American minds in audio. The Shinola Audio team, under the leadership of Alex Rosson, designed and engineered every detail with legendary American turntable maker VPI. Every component and element of the Shinola Runwell Turntable was carefully sourced from manufacturers across the globe, then built at the new Shinola Audio factory within their flagship Detroit store. Precision-machined aluminum components, like the main plate, platter, and tonearm were developed with and produced by MDI of Lakewood, NJ, a key VPI manufacturing partner.

The Runwell Turntable, designed inside and out for the discriminating audiophile and easy to use by any music enthusiast. Featuring a built in phono preamplifier and a belt driven pulley with speeds of 33 1/3 rpm and 45rpm.

"I wanted to make a turntable that could reproduce exactly what was on the record and not change it, make it sound just like the master tape. ...This is a real turntable." - Harry Weisfeld, VPI Founder
