On occasion, Swede and I come across something a little different, and a little special, that is right in Automatic Jack's bloodlines.
This MIJ hollowbody just has that something something. Swede feels a Wood Bros. vibe in this unusual creature. We've sold Howard branded guitars that were almost identical to versions sold under the Univox and Aria labels.
But this one-pickup hollowbody is not like anything we've seen before. But what characcter and how much fun to play -- see the demo video!
It has 19 frets, so somewhat shorter scale and the hollowbody is a bit smaller than others, so a lovely compact feel and pleasure to play.
The body has some lacquer checking consistent with its 50 years, but overall in great condition -- almost no fret wear, straight neck, and all electronics functioning fine.
We have lots of other great guitars -- a rare 1965 Harmony H-19
Silhouette, a totally mint Hagstrom Select Ultra Swede, a one-of-a-kind
handcrafted Benavente and a gorgeous '83 American Telecaster. Plus
there is more fantastic stuff we are getting ready to list, so please
check out the rest of the shop and point friends and fellow musicians
our way.
Also check our feedback to buy with confidence in us, and please feel free to ask any questions about this or any of our other guitars and amps.
About Automatic Jack As with all the axes in the Automatic Jack Shack, the Swede -- my guitar craftsman and collaborator in gear -- has given this his full treatment, checking, fixing and optimizing all the electronics, hardware and functionality from headstock on down. Of course, our vintage is old stuff, so bear in mind that many of our listings are for 30-40+ year-old instruments, with the typical kind of wear and quirks that comes with that. Vintage gear tends to be imperfect and in need of ongoing care. We are dedicated to delivering the most playable, high-quality and modestly-priced guitars and gear we can. But we are players and people. We want to offer great deals and deal with great people.
