This is a1960s Japanese made hollow body with a neck taken from ESP LTD Viper to create a wonderful ratrod mash up from rescued parts. These are great bones fitted with all new electronics and complete professional setup ready to play.
I’m not really sure who made the body, could be Fujigen, Matsumoku, Teisco, Kawai… don't know - it has the shape and build of many different brands from the Japanese factories. The body shows plenty of wear and tear cosmetically but I structurally enhanced it with internal struts and beefed up bridge blocks to make it strong and stable.
The neck is definitely a Viper neck and it is maple, 24-3/4” scale with a thinish D carve. I gave it a 1-11/16" bone nut, fresh 12” radius and new Jescar 47104 frets- the trussrod works great and it plays fast and easy.
With the modern neck I was able to give it modern studs and a modern TOM bridge, matched with new modern tuners and a new trapeze- it holds tune well and intonates the way it should.
I went with a set of my P90 pickups because they fit the holes already in the body, and they do not disappoint; this is a rip-snort hollow body for sure. The control plate is original, add the new pots and it is running quiet and better than ever.
This is a fantastic and fun player.
