About This Listing

First Act guitars are NOT junk and poorly made!  I  have had several and kept a Strat type to set up and adjust with new Alnico V pickups and it is fine! If you play a classical guitar or are not crazy about the thin and narrow Ibanez necks, this may be just for you ... Read on!

It's all set up and intonated, with no tremolo bar or back plate or case. It sounds great! It has a very few small dimples on the body. Big Deal!

This one has 3 * Alnico V pickups installed and a new nut and 1-piece neck plus 2 string trees and is all set up and intonated. The bridge is decent. The alnico pups are not Fralin or Duncan, but are OK. But under the odd pickguard is the body rout for a H S H . So my view is :

For an easy and readily found use of parts, you can have a darn nice custom guitar. My best sounding guitar may be a very cheap to buy ... an older Samick with a HB at the bridge and a single coil at the neck.

The pickups were likely good ARTECS from S. Korea, but it shows me that 3 alnico V pickups can be very nice! And this heavy 1st Act guitar body is routed for H S H, so you can do as you like.

Do NOT assume the bridge and tuners are junk. I made sure that the guitar is nearly like new and it is already cleaned all over and set up!

And you have just saved a bunch of cash and seen how a guitar can be set up at the nut and bridge and you do not even have to do it!  'First Act' strap goes with it and the tremolo was 'blocked out' already so you do nothing!
No case nor whammy bar for this one; it is nearly the perfect project to start with and get excellent results... take your time!

The headstock has been made into an 'arrowhead' like Fender did in the cheaper Strat copy shape called 'StarCaster' and you can make the straight edge perfect easily enough, but why bother?

A 1-piece neck and real rosewood fretboard and good frets? For cheap, it is a lot of good guitar...
all set up!
