1977 DY 57 handmade in Japan by Kazuo Yairi. Solid Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, beautiful herringbone inlaid purfling and rosette. This guitar is in over-all, very good condition. Neck is straight, frets are in good condition with a little wear. Every note up the fretboard rings loud and clear. This is a great playing and sounding guitar. A few honest, small scratches on top but nothing ugly. No buckle rash to speak of on the back. She comes with a fully functional tweed hardshell case that seems to be an original Alvarez case, but hard to tell.
This guitar sings loud and clear and will make someone a happy player. If you are familiar with these Yairi's, this one will hold up to the fine reputation they have.
