This is an unusual Lange made Orpheum banjo from the 1920's. Most stamped "Lange Made" banjos are not labeled "Orpheum".  This is the best one I've seen of the "Lange Made" banjo.  Appears to be walnut construction.  My guess is that the tailpiece broke early on and the banjo was put away.  Hardware looks new.  11" head.  Tone ring.  Nice arm rest.  Resonator is excellent.  Geared Page tuners.  Neck shows very little playing wear.  The Orpheum badge had fallen off and I had to glue it back on.  The tailpiece will need to be repaired or replaced. Very nice heavy duty HSC is also in good condition.  Thanks for looking and best of luck!
