About This Listing

#18
This is one of the nicest guitars I have ever played or owned. The action is super. This is the guitar that for years your cherish of the day you spent a little more money to get a lot more guitar! Treat yourself!
Up for grabs is this beautiful 1977 Guild X-500!
This axe has the master volume control.
Cosmetically the guitar has a few dings, most can be seen in the pics.
The bindings are intact no shrinkage from age as seen in certain older Guilds over the years.
Neck is very straight with a slight relief, truss rod adjustment working perfectly.
Action is low, frets have plenty of life and no buzzing up and down the neck.
The bridge is in top shape, in excellent condition good for many years to come.
Considering this guitar is 45 years old I would be hard pressed to find another in this condition.
Electronics working properly
Pickups are original the gold finish has faded.
Grab this one before someone else does.

Product Overview
The Guild X-500 (Stuart model) was an electric archtop with Spruce top and curly Maple back and sides. It featured two humbuckers and a lyre tailpiece.

Not to be confused with the Stuart X-550 (later renamed the X-500 B in 1960), which was the same model with a natural finish.
