Vintage 1970's Astatic 810-S dynamic cardioid microphone Satin Chrome w cable Low Z Shure 545S 545

           Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

 You are looking at an older Astatic 810-S dynamic cardioid microphone from the 1960's or 70's with excellent sound quality and set for Low Z. It comes with the original longer cable shown in which to operate.

 Pic # 2 is from an old catalog I have showing the mics basic specs and characteristics. The output is very strong and will be great for singing and broadcasting. The mic has a nice warm tone with just the right amount of bass. It's uni-directional as well so it won't pick up a lot of background noise while live.

 If you love the sound of a Shure 545 or 545S then you are going to love this high quality and somewhat rare Astatic 810-S mic. It's comparable both in quality of build and sound characteristics. The Astatic 810S even looks very similar to the Shure 545S model mic. The 810S has lower pistol grip for that period that works great and has the on / off switch that works perfectly. This mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand.

 The satin chrome finish glows nicely and shows very lite wear. The black painted metal shows more wear but still looks good and free of any dents or fractures. Just a few spots where the black paint has rubbed off from handling. The mesh screen looks excellent as well. The mics joint mechanism provides plenty of tension and allows you to get just the right amount of tilt needed once the mic is mounted to the stand.

 It should be noted that the mic comes with a new exterior black foam pop filter that not only looks great for the mic but really improves the sound overall and fits liie a glove.

 An original 4 pin XLR type cable is provided as well and is in great condition. It's appx 20 feet long and the cable has a quality Cannon male XLR end connector.    This longer cable has the older Turner 4 pin XLR type female connection which you will use with the actual microphone.

 Even if you don't use the mic...it make a great display piece on the coffee table or just about anywhere in the home, office or studio.
