This one was brand new in the box - only opened it to do these mods, so technically no longer new. I have done a number of upgrades to this iconic pedal. Replaced a few key parts in the signal path for better sound. Put in a cool blue LED. Then, this has my take on the Reutz mod which adds the extra control on front to help bring the Filter control to life. Also has a 3-way clipping switch with stock (switch down) upgraded to NOS Philips 1N914 diodes, Turbo (switch up) with 5mm red LEDs, and in middle position no diodes for a wide-open full-gain, full-tone option. This is all centered around the upgrade to the new and unused and super rare 1975 LM308 chip (with gold legs) - makes a huge difference in the tone and response of this effect. Finally, I upgraded the power filtering so this puppy can handle 18v - if you have the chance, try it out. You may never go back to 9 volts! Versatile, way better sounding and now full of tasty goodness even in the low-gain end of the Distortion control. A totally tasty RAT for the discerning pedal palette.
