After 50 years in Aerosmith, and a lifetime infatuation with guitars and amps, Brad Whitford accumulated so much gear that it’s overflowing his warehouse. He used this gear to create some of the most iconic rock and roll of our time. He selected over 170 of his precious guitars, amps and speakers and asked my help in finding them new homes with players and fans who will appreciate them as much as he does. Brad’s long history with Paul Reed Smith began in 1987 when he became the fledgling guitar builder's first endorser. He continues to use several PRS guitars and amps today. This amp was Paul’s favorite amp reserved for use in his home studio. Initially the amp was loaned to Brad for Aerosmith’s 2012 tour and was eventually given to him. The amp became the backbone of Brad Whitford’s formidable live amp rig for many years. Brad describes this amp as a “Dream Marshall” and a “Holy Grail Amp” in ’s 2012 Rig Rundown video. I'll attempt to put the significance and magnificence of this one of a kind amp in perspective. This amp was the favorite amp owned and built by Paul Reed Smith, one of the greatest amp builders of all time. Brad Whitford, one of the greatest rock guitarists in the world was so enamored with the amp that Smith loaned and eventually gave him his favorite amp. WOW! This is a VERY special amp.
Acquired directly from Brad Whitford. Brad's guitar tech personally inspected the amp and confirmed it was in excellent working condition with no notable issues. It includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Brad Whitford.
