         What is interesting about this piece is that being born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, I was 'there' that hot June night and it was the only time I ever saw Fresh Cream and I will NEVER forget it!  It was a very hot night, the place was packed with standing room only, and I was totally soaked with sweat within 5 minutes.  I do not remember a lot that night but I DO remember THEM!!  One of if not my favorite groups as it is hard to pick from them, Hendrix, the Stones, Led Zep, etc.

I went the Grande probably 30 times back in 1967-68 and saw ALL those groups back then, Arthur Brown, Joe Cocker's first USA performance, Terry Reid, Iggy, Zep, the Who, Fleetwood Mac, Steppenwolf, 3 Dog Night, and on & on & on.  I was just a kid bass player who grew up and lived in Detroit.  Now I am a retired bass player who has been slingin' guitars, amps, & the like for 50 years now and having a lot of fun doing it.  Check out our Reverb store and you will see what were all about.
Anyway I kind of even hate to sell this memory but it will live on in my mind forever.
That first album,,, there are no words.
I must have wore out that cassette tape 10 times, no lie.

3 summers ago we sold 35 pieces to the movie set of Bill & Teds Most Excellent Adventure 'Face the Music'! with Keanu Reeves.
  Lot's of guitars, amplifiers, rack gear, they wanted a lot of stuff with LOTS of KNOBS!!

We just did another movie bit last fall in a film called 'Miracle in Detroit'
starring Smokey Robinson. Our shop had a 15 minute scene in that movie
on the Lifetime channel last November 28th. and it ran through Xmas day!

Cream 1968 Grande Ballroom "Paisley" Concert Poster by Gary Grimshaw 1968 # 21/125 made Artist Proof.
A spectacular investment-quality grade and a key piece by one of greatest bands in rock history, comprised of Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. Other acts appearing over the three days advertised were the MC5, Carousel, Nickel Plate Express, St. Louis Union, the James Gang (with Joe Walsh) and Thyme.

This poster carries the nickname "paisley" among collectors to easily distinguish it from Cream's other Grande Ballroom concert posters.

Cream were at the absolute peak of their powers at this point in time. "Sunshine of Your Love," the biggest hit of their career, had just ended its half-year run on Billboard's singles chart. Still touring off their landmark 1967 album Disraeli Gears, the band finished the last of their studio recordings for, and oversaw the mixing of, their next long player, Wheels of Fire, this very month (June 1968). Not burnt out yet, you just couldn't catch them at a better time.

The poster itself measures 17" by 10".
The very nice high quality custom frame by JO-ANN is purple and measures 13 1/2" by 20 3/8".
