This is a 50's Rickenbacker model of the famous Frying Pan of the 30's and 40's. It was worked on by Bobby Carlos (Eagles guitar tech). it had no fretboard, so he put tape fret markers on it, waverlys, and a 30's 1 1/2 inch horseshoe original pickup in it, along with new pots and 40's knobs. it is the rarest long scale (A-25), and nothing but the 10k versions sound even close, if you can find one. this is a "players" instrument, but it is not weak like that. it just doesn't have the price tag. it has only 3 strings on it at the moment, but you can use any gauge or tuning you prefer. it also comes with a leather trombone carrying case.
