About This Listing

1967Watkins Rapier Bass.
One of the most seriously stylish bass guitars I have ever clapped eyes on.

We got this one in bits and it has been lovingly restored by our guitar restoration
man- Andrew Mills. Now it is set up with a lovely low action .
It has a control knob that works as a 4 way switch-taking the bass through 4 very different of tones from a deep rich bassey tone, to a really clipped treble tone-that creates a great psych 60's Jefferson Airplane style sound or would work great with a fuzz.It also has a bass dampener on the bridge-which gives you the choice to damp the strings and give it a double bass tone.
A very versatile, unusual and seriously cool bass-I'm already jealous of whoever buys this beauty!

It has new two way truss rod and finger board.

Specifications:
  • 2 single coil pick ups.
  • 1 volume control
  • 1 control which acts as a 4 way switch
  • Bass dampner-on bridge
