About This Listing

Brad Whitford’s AUTOGRAPHED Aerosmith 2000s Gretsch, Elliott Easton Model, Green Authenticated! (#74)

WOW! Here's a rare opportunity to own a piece of history from the greatest American hard rock band ever.

After 50 years in Aerosmith, and a lifetime infatuation with guitars and amps, Brad Whitford accumulated so much gear that it’s overflowing his warehouse. He used this gear to create some of the most iconic rock and roll of our time. He selected over 170 of his precious guitars, amps and speakers and asked my help in finding them new homes with players and fans who will appreciate them as much as he does. There’s a ton of amazing gear here.

Serial #012128-2711

From the Brad Whitford Collection at Donn Bennett’s Drum Vault.

Brad played this Gretsch Elliot Easton Model guitar extensively with Aerosmith. The serial number indicates being manufactured in 2001. We found lots photos and video of Brad playing this guitar starting in 2002 so the dates line up. Brad can be seen playing this guitar extensively in Ross Halfin's coffee table book Listen To Whitford. See and hear Brad play this guitar in the 2002 live video from Japan below.

There's obvious signs of use but onothing that gets in the way of this guitar looking and playing beautifully.

Brad signed the back of the headstock in purple pen.

Also included is Brad's personalized Gretsch Guitars denim shirt. Brad Whitford is embroidered on the left pocket. The shirt was a gift from Fred Gretsch, President of the Gretsch Guitars. Fred probably should have done a little research before ordering the shirt in Extra Large. The guys in Aerosmith aren't particularly large guys. You could probably fit the whole band in this shirt!!

Acquired directly from Brad Whitford. Brad’s guitar tech personally inspected the guitar. He adjusted the neck, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, sprayed the pots and installed new strings. The guitar is in excellent condition with no notable issues. The guitar is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag on the headstock. It includes a hardshell case, original Gretsch paperwork, one of Brad’s custom Aerosmith guitar pics and a certificate of authenticity signed by Brad Whitford.
