Description from the Greg Bennett web site:
SMJ 10 CE
The appointments of the CHEYENNE™ say “professional musician”, loud and clear. The inlays, which were inspired by the great jazz and country guitars of the 40’s and 50’s, give it a truly traditional appearance. The eight-ply binding also gives it a super visual edge, by defining the body and neck.
The idea of a solid body acoustic is a contradiction in terms that produces a guitar with amazing performance capabilities. The design concept came about because of the problem players experience in live performance situations. The wonderful resonant capabilities of a good acoustic guitar are the exact same characteristics that cause feedback. By making the body of the guitar solid, the possibility of feedback is greatly reduced. The onboard L.R. Baggs electronics enable the player to sculpt a unique sound that in a strange way tends to sound more acoustic than the real thing.
