Inside is Mahogany with Maple Re Rings. The wrap goes into the plies so it is tight. Please see pics. All original down to the tension rod washers. The inside is pristine and smelled new when I opened up the drum. The WMP has aged some. See pics. Smooth throw off. I believe these are the original snare wires. The drum has been sitting for 35+ years.
