Ray LaMontagne's Fender Masterbuilt '56 Stratocaster built by master luthier Jason Smith with certificate of authenticity signed by Ray.

Of all the custom-built guitars that Ray is selling, this one might take the cake as the most head-turning and luxurious. The finish alone defies what should be possible with paint and figuring techniques. While the finish is called "copper bowling ball swirl," up close you realize it's more akin to a cascading Guinness draught or the clouds of Jupiter - if they had the hue of a delicious swirled chocolate caramel.

Pair this with the gold anodized pickguard and black-covered Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups, and you have amazing looks with period-correct Strat tone.

The neck is 3A flamed maple with a larger V profile and modern 6105 frets with a 9.5" radius. This gives it a gorgeous look and sublime playability.

If you're looking for one of the most unique and well-crafted Stratocasters out there (without the maintenance headache of a vintage piece) and a famous previous owner to add to its story, this guitar is it.

Hardshell case included.
