The 30th-anniversary Screamadelica Stratocaster combines the Strat's iconic, sleek, elegant lines with a color palette and a graphic based on the hallucinogenic water spot artwork from Primal Scream's 1991 breakthrough, Screamadelica. This Strat boasts a classic comfort-contoured alder body, finished in gloss polyester, and is crowned with a painted plastic pickguard.
Hot-wound '60s Strat toneIf you appreciate classic Strat tone, you’ll love the Fender 30th-anniversary Screamadelica Stratocaster. Its hot-wound single-coils are dead ringers for 1960s-era pickups, but — as we quickly discovered here at Sweetwater — they have enough output to spank the front end of a modern amplifier. These pickups boast enamel-coated wire and flat-top Alnico V magnets, achieving a glassy, bell-like sound with a dub symphony of chime and clarity. What’s more, you get a 5-way switch that gives you more tonal options than a traditional 3-way switch.
Fast-playing Modern "C" maple neckIn keeping with contemporary player preferences, the 30th-anniversary Screamadelica Strat sports a comfortable Modern "C"-shaped maple neck and a 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets. The neck is finished with a smooth polyurethane for a sleek, fast feel.
