1978 USA Gibson SG Custom is another of the guitars from the vault of Kat James of the band Troublemaker based out of Texas. Troublemaker ® is “The Longest Running Female Fronted Rock Band In The Great State Of Texas”. This guitar was used off and on thru the late 70’s, and 80’s for shows. Please note that this guitar is not totally original. I have 3 disclosures.  

A)   When purchased in 1978 this guitar came with a Gold plated B5 Bigsby tremolo. The Bigsby tremolo was not adequate for what we were doing at the time so it was removed in 1981 and was sold.

B)   This guitar is the original “factory color” but is not the original factory paint. The guitar was sadly re-painted black around 1984 but later after the guitar was “retired” in or about 1990 it was professionally painted by “Ken Hill” and was restored back to the original factory color. Ken Hill is well known for his custom paints.

C)   You can see two extra holes by the truss rod cover where the cover was replaced with a personalized cover. It was removed and the original cover was replaced.

All hardware is original. This guitar was always taken care of and was always transported in it’s original hardcase, which was also transported in a guitar case rack.
