From the creative mind of Glenn Sweetwood, we present another unique Supro prototype guitar. Glenn Sweetwood played an integral role in the design of Supro's Island Series and Americana Series of guitars in 2016-1017. This particular Island Series axe approaches the series with a stripped-down, barebones approach, focused on performance, quality, and reliability. Instead of the bespoke retro-style tailpiece typical of the Island Series, Sweetwood opts for a high-performance Graphtech Resomax intonatable wrap-around tailpiece. Though it looks to be a Hum-Single-Single layout, Sweetwood hides three Roadhouse Kingston single coil pickups under plain chrome covers. As on may other of these Supro prototypes, this example has a Maple neck with Wenge fingerboard, and the contoured neck join has a heavy-duty 2-bolt connection for maximum access. The headstock is primed for action with Hipshot open-gear tuners, Carbon-Fiber overlay, Abalone Sweetwood logo, and volute. this package is complete with an aftermarket Gibson hard case, which has been padded to fit this guitar.
Features:
Alder Body
Supro Pickguard
Custom "Armor" finish
Maple Neck
6105 Frets
Pearloid Dot inlays
Wenge Fingerboard
"Modern C" neck profile
Roadhouse Kingston Single Coil Pickups
Graphtech Resomax Bridge
25 1/2" Scale

This guitar is in Excellent condition, as it was a prototype for Supro. The Armor finish does an excellent job hiding any scuffs in the finish, however we could not find any present on the body. There is a light bump to the end of the headstock. Originally, this guitar was brought to us without a Truss Rod cover. An appropriate cover was found by the team at Keith Holland Guitars and was approved by Glenn Sweetwood.
