Up for sale, a 1992 Gibson L-00 vintage reissue acoustic guitar with a stunning ebony finish and exquisite tone. This guitar has a scalloped X braced construction and a fairly thin and resonant spruce top, the L-00 lends itself to a variety of musical styles. With its narrow waist and shoulders, the L-00 produces a focused, resonant, and remarkably full sound, and the low end has notable boom and kick without overshadowing the treble frequencies. The sound holds together well when strummed hard, yet also responds well to more delicate fingerpicking. This L-00 is simply a ton of fun to play and an excellent choice for stage and studio work.
The neck has a soft V profile that is moderately slender, with gently sloping shoulders and consistent depth as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard. The bound rosewood fretboard retains the original wide/flat Gibson fretwire, and are in good shape. At the nut, the neck measures a full 1 3/4" in width. The headstock boasts a set of stock Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with metal buttons, and the silkscreen Gibson script logo is a nice vintage spec aesthetic touch.
There is some lifting at the bridge but still has plenty on life before needing repaired. Guitar has been played a lot and has nicks and scratches. They’re is some cracking in the nitro finish but everything is structurally sound.
