This is a very nice quality brand new neck, and has an Abalone "EVH" logo 12th fret marker inlay.
I've spoken to Fender/EVH about this neck, and all we came up with was speculation. We have reason to believe it was made at the same factory in China that makes Squier. What you see in the pictures, and the specifications I've listed below are all I know for certain about this neck.
Construction: 2pc (1pc Maple Neck w/ 1pc Maple Fretboard) w/ 2-Way Truss Rod Frets: 22 Jumbo Frets, w/ 6.5mm Black Dot Markers Side Markers: 2mm Black Dot 12th Fret Marker: Black & Abalone Inlay “EVH” Logo Headstock: Pre-CBS Profile, No Logo, 10mm Tuner Holes Nut Slot: 42mm x 3mm, flat bottom Heel: 2-3/16”, un-drilled Neck Profile: Early 50’s Soft V Thickness @ 1st Fret: 0.865” Thickness @ 12th Fret: 0.925” Fretboard Radius: 7.25"
