About This Listing

For sale GUYATONE SHARP 5 FIVE LG-2100M / MK IV guitar in exceptional condition, totally original, perfect working order and beautiful blue finish. This guitar model was manufactured in Japan around the year 2000, is high-end, very exclusive and rare, is discontinued years ago and are difficult to obtain.

It is practically new. I have been its first owner, I imported it from Japan, and it has been used very little and only at home. It is in perfect condition and working order. Original case and certificate of authenticity. The photos speak for themselves. The guitar is very easy to play. Its pickups sound great and very defined (both in clean and saturation) in all combinations. It is a very versatile guitar. Everything on the guitar is original. The frets are in perfect condition.

It is made in Japan and is the premium reissue of the vintage 60's/70's Guyatone LG-350.

Sperzel USA locking tuners (very smooth and stable), wilkinson vibrato, and neck glued to the body. The vibrato responds very well and the guitar holds the tuning perfectly even with a "strong" use of the vibrato.

The body has the "German carved" cut so typical of Mosrites. The body has the typical Mosrite "German carved" body with pearlescent piping and cream and binding on the neck. It is an example of fine craftsmanship and unique "made in Japan" design. The dark rosewood fingerboard features mini star inlays and original flawless medium jumbo frets.

Electronically everything works as it should, with a three-position pickup selector and gold-plated volume and tone knobs to govern the three single-coil pickups.

It's a guitar that has sonic presence as it cuts through the instrument mix perfectly and doesn't get lost in the frequency mix when playing with more people in a band.

This guitar houses three single coil pickups with white tops that sound great and full bodied. The bridge pickup cuts perfectly into the sound mix with its low mid frequencies, and the roundness, sweetness and warmth of the neck pickup is noticeable.

It has a three-position selector switch that gives the typical bridge/bridge/ neck/ neck/ neck settings, and it has two potentiometers, one for overall volume and one for tone. But on this guitar the volume potentiometer is designed as a push/pull variant and offers two additional switching options. Right - Centre pickup switched off Centre - Centre pickup switched on in all pickup configurations Left - Middle pickup only (traditional three-way pickup switch overridden).

Perfect cosmetic condition. No cracks, scratches or dings. Extremely well cared for, the only cosmetic wear is limited to a little wear to the gilding on the pickup switch knob. Looks like new. Frets in perfect condition. Neck and truss rod in perfect condition. Electronics in perfect condition. No unwanted buzzing or humming.

The string action is low and it is very easy to play with a fast feel. Light gauge strings recommended.

Weight: 3.8kg. It is a very balanced guitar. The guitar plays very well in all registers and with easy access to the higher frets.

Includes its original case (with some scuffs) which has the Guyatone logo on it, certificate of authenticity, its keys and tuning tools, case keys, and its papers. What you see in the pictures.

I can send more pictures or information.

I put some links to videos so you can see how the guitar sounds.

This model is very special and very difficult to get in the EU. It feels, plays, sounds and looks great. Great guitar and sound. Guitar is in great cosmetic condition, and in very good shape.
Will be shipped with bullet proof packaging and full security.

Best regards!!!
