Luthier Alejandro Ramirez has been hand-crafting his line of o3 Custom Guitars and Basses since 2005. His forward thinking instruments blend modern aesthetic and ergonomic concepts with the art and tradition of classical Spanish luthiery. Rather than revisiting designs from the past, o3 Guitars push boundaries with their organic curves and clearly defined surfaces. Unique construction details include beautiful exotic tone woods, deeply set neck joints, magnetically mounted cavity covers as well as high-end electronics and quality hardware. This particular model is the Xenon with an "Intense Red" satin finish. The neck is stunning - Intensely figured Birdseye Maple with a Flame Maple fingerboard, Padauk "capsule" inlays and carbon fiber reinforcement rods. The body is Swamp Ash. Sonically, this guitar is one of the most alive, resonant, and responsive Fender Strats you have ever played. The set of Haussel Blues pickups are out of this world. Musical. If tone could make your mouth water you would need a bib and a towel. They have enough power to drive any amp while maintaining the “o3 tone” - Big but with Definition and Control. Sparkling and Bluesy yet Growling and Nasty when necessary. The neck is very easy to play and feels great with very low action. Zero fret construction is utilized here again for a balanced tone and the 640 mm scale length (about 25.2”) adds note definition.
