Listed for sale here is a rare Sharp Optonica RT-6205
Stereo Cassette Deck but not in perfect working condition.
Offered for a miserably low price, almost for free.
Either I am kidding myself or the world is really falling apart! No good anyway! Electronics work fine, both motors operational, sound out OK, all functions work. See the short video about it.
What doesn't work: Both FF (Forward) and RW (Rewind) work for a few seconds but spindles do not rotate. Play function works too but auto stops after a few seconds of running. Physically is in very good shape. This item needs service attention.
My guess is that there is spilled oil on rubber or old lubrication to be cleaned. Great restoration project for someone who likes to do that.
