Martin's 15 series guitars are some of our favorite acoustic instruments. It's easy to see why: These guitars have classic Martin tone, styling, and quality. But they're just different enough to make them really special: all 15 series guitars have solid mahogany tops. Martin introduced this design during World War II when spruce was hard to come by, and it turns out mahogany thrives as a top wood and provides a very balanced natural EQ. It has great projection and clarity but is also a touch warmer and more even across the EQ spectrum than spruce.
Fingerpickers will certainly dig the natural balance between the lows and highs, and strummers will appreciate the way that simple open-position chords blend together. Recording is a breeze with these guitars as well - you won't get as many weird EQ spikes in certain places. George Martin used to like to record the Beatles using only all-mahogany guitars because he claimed that there would be no need to adjust the EQ on the guitars afterwards since it's so balanced coming out of the instrument.
The 000 body style is comfortable and sleek, the neck is comfortable and the worn satin finish is very easy on the eyes. This is a very cool, useful, and playable guitar.
The 000-15M model continues the Martin tradition with a 000-14 fret body size, solid mahogany construction and a rich satin finish. Satisfy your desire with an affordable solid wood guitar that is visually distinctive and innovative.
