About This Listing
Here we have a rare 1960s JG, Julio Giulietti, guitar in all its vintage glory. A gorgeous piece made in Italy from the infamous accordion maker. As we can best determine,
this guitar, was most likely built in 1965 (could be later) in the EKO factory
in Recanati, Italy for the Julio Giulietti Accordion Company, hence the “JG”
branding. It appears, very few of the acoustic electric guitars, Model A2A, were built by
EKO for Giulietti (some say less than 200). It's still in pretty good condition for a guitar from the 60s. There are some scratches, dings, and small chips throughout which is expected from years of use. Someone lightly sanded the gloss finish off the back of the neck for their playing preference, we have seen this done plenty of times. Seems the tuners were changed out a while ago, however there is no fret wear. We tried to captured all blemishes in photos above so please reference them carefully. Has been looked over by a professional and is all set to go. It's as light as a feather and plays remarkably. The sculpted curves and color of this guitar are stunning and the rich tone it projects is just beyond. A beautiful guitar to have for playing or collecting. Comes with a black hardshell Gator case.
