A fantastic signature semi-hollow guitar inspired by the Oasis mastermind’s original Epiphone Riviera.

The Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera is a faithful tribute to the Oasis icon’s vintage model. Noel’s original Epiphone Riviera was crafted in Japan and was one of his main guitars during Oasis’ Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory era. This version of the Riviera with a Wine Red finish and humbuckers was only available to the Japanese market so it’s likely that Noel picked it up during a tour of the country. This guitar was used across multiple landmark Oasis live performances including their legendary Earl’s Court show and their appearance on David Letterman in the States. Arguably, the most known appearance of Noel’s Epiphone Riviera is the music video for the Oasis classic “Don’t Look Back In Anger”.

The core of the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera is its 5-ply Layered Maple top, back and sides. When used as a body material, Maple offers a bright, clear attack, superb note separation and excellent sustain. The iconic Gibson ES-style double-cutaway design provides easy access to the whole fretboard whilst the semi-hollow construction is resonant and feedback-resistant.

The 3-piece Maple neck is carved to a '60s-style SlimTaper “C” profile that’s incredibly comfortable to play. Topping the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera’s Maple neck is a smooth Indian Laurel fretboard and 22 frets. The neck also features a volute, a wooden reinforcement between the neck and the headstock that enhances durability.

The Noel Gallagher Riviera’s thick, stadium-sized tone comes from its dual Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers. This is in line with Noel’s original Riviera that he used with Oasis, which also featured humbuckers for a thicker, juicier tone. Usually, Epiphone Riviera guitars are equipped with mini-humbuckers so the addition of humbuckers is a standout feature.

Epiphone was given access to Noel Gallagher’s Riviera, allowing them to faithfully reproduce many of the original’s historic elements. The distinctive Dark Wine Red finish has been carefully matched to the Epiphone models from that era whilst the period-correct “E” marking on the pickguard and brown soundhole label complete the vintage feel. A replica of Noel Gallagher’s signature can be found on the rear of the headstock.
