Washburn produced the Stage Series, including the A-20, from 1980-1985.
A reissue began in 1996 and ended a few years ago. Both the original and the reissue are pretty scarce, so this dead mint specimen is pretty special, with some wonderful details and features. First, this one has a pair of unusual Egnater pickups that can be coil-split with the knobs (hang tags still on them.)
The Grover tuners are excellent, and integrated with the Buzz Feiten system that includes a brass nut and the bridge that optimizes intonation across the fretboard.
Like the 80s original, this A-20 had very cool brass ring fret inlays, a beautiful boyd shape that is akin to an Explorer but much better balanced and easy to wear. And got to love the two-piece top with a lemonburst flamed maple finish.
The body is ash, the set-neck is three-piece maple. 22 frets, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way pick up selector, coil tap.
The rare, beautiful and mint guitar is from a collection and is virtually unplayed since bought new.

About Automatic Jack As
with all the axes in the Automatic Jack Shack, the Swede -- my guitar
craftsman and collaborator in gear -- has given this his full treatment,
checking, fixing and optimizing all the electronics, hardware and
functionality from headstock on down. Of course, our vintage is old stuff,
so bear in mind that many of our listings are for 30-40+ year-old
instruments, with the typical kind of wear and quirks that comes with
that. Vintage gear tends to be imperfect and in need of ongoing care.
We are dedicated to delivering the most playable, high-quality and
modestly-priced guitars and gear we can. But we are players and people.
We want to offer great deals and deal with great people.
