About This Listing

This amp is pretty incredible sounding. It’s in great shape and has been checked over by my amp tech. Original factory tolex has been professionally replaced as well as the grill cloth. Most of the parts all look original and some of the caps have been replaced. The transformer numbers suggest 1970. Local pick up only. Thanks for looking.

Fender Black Panel Super Reverb 2-Channel 40-Watt 4x10" Guitar Combo 1963 - 1967

The Fender Super Reverb 45-watt tube combo guitar amplifier was offered in a Black Panel finish between 1964 and 1967, although some early Silverface finished units still had Black Panel circuitry. Well-known for its scooped mids, the Super Reverb features the same design as the Fender Super, but with the addition of built-in reverb and tremolo effects as well as four 10" speakers. Famous Super Reverb players include Johnny Marr, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robben Ford, and Derek Trucks.
