Handmade 1x12 speaker cab (#23). "Wicked Witch"
I was curious to see how far I could take the Shou Sugi Ban (burned wood) style. I wanted a real "survived a fire" vibe with a crackled surface. Came out pretty wild and unique. Looks crazy, but it's still only the top couple millimeters that are burned, structurally this cab is just as sturdy as any other of my pine cabs. Surface is fully stabilized with 3 coats of water-based poly. Recessed side handles are a bit "form over function", but cab is light and easily carried via the semi-open back.

Wood Type: Pine
3/4" Plywood Baffle (bolted and glued into cab, grill cloth is mounted on separate, thinner and removable baffle)
Recessed, Fabric Lined Handles (½” plywood backed, bolted to cab)
Grill Cloth: Black wire mesh
Speaker Bolts included. Rear mounted, back panels removable for speaker install. You can use all 8 bolts or only 4. Bolt pattern is based on modern Celestion Greenback: 29.7cm
Pre-wired (red = positive), just toss a speaker in and go.
