About This Listing
Offering a vintage 1940's RCA MI-6226 "Bullet" Dynamic Microphone, working strong w/original dynamic element intact. This model used a very unique element, classified as a dynamic element, but similar to a ribbon, with a thin wire strand suspended within a film membrane and operating within a magnetic field. (See final photo) RCA promoted these for studio talkback use, but would be good for any general voice work. These mics were built like tanks, with a heavy aluminum casing and quite weighty feel in the hand. It's aerodynamic shape makes for an excellent handheld harp mic, but also has a standard 5/8" threaded adapter that is compatible with any modern stand. The front rib grills are all straight and undamaged, as is the original grill cloth. The casing paint is in nice shape, some mild signs of use/wear and still produces a strong good fidelity signal. The mic head is hardwired to a short 2' cable with male XLR plug, and includes the desk stand shown. Overall height is 9". ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping.
