About This Listing

For sale is one (1) Broadcaster-style partscaster with a body made of two pieces of Spanish Cedar. The body was initially finished in a trans-white but then sanded and re-finished in Chickamauga Gray, which is slightly translucent. It was topped with a clear coat of heavy duty industrial lacquer with a satin/matte finish. The complete guitar weighs 7 lbs.

The pickups are a Cavalier She-Wolf in the neck position, clockwise south, made with 9,000 turns of 42AWG over AlNiCo 5 rod magnets (ca. 6.8k) and with no pickup cover. The bridge pickup is a Cavalier Bakersfield "Plus," wound counterclockwise north, made with 9,500 turns of 42AWG over AlNiCo 5 magnets (ca. 7.5k). It is parchment string wrapped. These are great, clear Tele-style pickups made by Rob DiStefano. The bridge plate is Fender chrome, as is the neck plate. The saddles are Marc Rutters' brass straight compensated saddles. The control plate is 920D chrome, and the knobs are Fender. The pots are two CTS 250k pots and a Switchcraft jack. The jack plate is Electrosocket, and the switch is a 3-way Switchcraft. The pickguard is a single ply, 5-hole pickguard routed and sanded by me and finished with clear acrylic lacquer. It shows some light scratches from use.

The neck is an Allparts(TM) TMO, which I re-shaped and sanded. It measures 1-5/8" (1.625") wide at the nut, which is polished bone. The fretboard is a 9.5" radius, and the rear profile is ca. .91"@1st and .97"@12th, with a soft V in the cowboy chord region, transitioning to a medium C at around the 6th-7th frets. As with most of these Allparts(TM) necks, the frets are "vintage tall." The frets are in excellent condition. It is set up for 10-46 lights. The tuners are vintage Kluson-style six-in-line (I believe they are Gotoh, but I am not 100% certain), and there is a button string tree. The neck is finished in tinted satin polyurethane and sanded to produce a worn look. The finish is _very smooth_ and satiny and in no way sticky.

This guitar sounds and plays great. It is set up and ready to play with medium-low action. It could use some new strings, but the ones on it are perfectly serviceable and not dead. This is a great guitar and is very well put together. You will not be disappointed.

Ships in like-new Fender padded gig bag. Shipping in lower 48 states only. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
