***PLEASE READ before buying***
I have here a Stylophone Gen X-1 that I personally modified with CV input and replaced the battery compartment with a CleanJuice Li-Ion 2500mAh battery. I mod old gray brick Gameboys (DMG) with CleanJuice USB-C rechargeable batteries and thought, "Hey, the Stylophone takes 4 AA batteries in the same configuration too. I'll try to mod this Stylophone the same way".
The only issue was the +/- was reverse, so while I was in there doing the CV mod, I swapped the wires around. If you want to remove the CleanJuice battery pack, you wont be able to use regular AA batteries unless you de-solder, switch, re-solder the wires the other way around, and replace the battery contacts/springs.
This is a DIY modification, so I highly recommend you have some experience with soldering and modding, just in case anything needs to be tweaked in the future. It is tested and fully working.
To expose the USB-C port, I had to Dremmel through the battery cover (see photos).
I'm including in this listing a Korg SQ-1 sequencer so you can play sequences right out of the box. I only purchased the SQ-1 to mess around with the Stylophone CV mod and it is in excellent, barely used condition with the box and manuals.
If you want just the Stylophone, I'll have that listed for $120 separately here. If you want just the SQ-1, I will list that separately here too for $100.
If you buy both here, I took $20 off for combined discount, totaling $200 (plus shipping).
Thanks for looking!
