Fender Performer Bass 1985 - 1987 Faded Cream Gold

You won’t find many of these. And many times someone in the crowd inquires where they can get one. There were only an estimated 200 - 250 of these made at the Fender Fuji-Gen plant, and it not only looks really killer, she sounds great and is a super nice player as well. Up for sale is a sweet cool circa 1985 Fender Performer Bass in faded goldish cream. I LOVE my Fender Performer. This one is great. One of only a couple hundred made. Unmistakable look and vibe. Entirely original and overall in very good condition less some scattered dings, dents, scratches and play wear. Bass is generally quite clean with some honest signs of wear.  But, it has been well cared for. There is a stain on the upper bout (see photo). Pro setup. Great Action. Comes with a form fit Fender original hard case. These are so rare that I always find somebody who has never seen one.  Plays well with low action on a very slim neck. It has an alder body, with a bolt-on 34" 24-fret micro-tilt adjustable maple neck. Only produced for 2 years! This is a MUST for your collection!

Very rare. These don't come around for sale very often. It's a unique MIJ bass guitar that Fender made for about 2 years and then was discontinued. There are only an estimated 200 - 250 of these made at the Fender Fuji-Gen plant, and it not only looks really killer, she sounds great and is a super nice player as well. Nicely balanced axe, and weighs in at 7 lbs. 15 oz. on our scale. This also features Fender's slimmest neck, even more slim than the Jazz Bass, it's maple with rosewood FB and has a 1 1/2" nut width. Fast playing bass, with very comfortable contours whether you play standing or sitting. Great for fast attack and slap n pop style playing. This is a full scale 34" with 24 frets and has the Fender Micro-Tilt adjustable neck.  The Performer's playability and punchiness is every bit as notable as its rarity and cutting edge looks. Even the Fender logo on the headstock has an unorthodox design not seen on other models. The tone ranges from smooth to aggressive, with great clarity and punch. The TBX control provides a huge boost beyond the tonal range of most passive basses. 7.25" neck radius.
