PLEASE READ!!! Akai GX-630D-SS 10.5 inch 4 Channel Stereo Quad Reel to Reel Tape Deck Recorder

For sale is an AKAI GX-630D-SS 10.5 inch 4 channel 4 track Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in excellent condition as shown albeit with some scuffs and marks . Refer to pics. Cabinet is also in great shape. It has been fully tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. the quadra sync buttons work. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. The belts are good as are the caps. All 4 channels work perfectly as well. The sound when recording at 3 3/4 IPS is clear and even better at 7 1/2 IPS! A lot of time and money was put into servicing this deck so it will not go cheap! Please refer to pictures! If you’re looking for a specific function whether it’s pitch control or auto reverse and it’s not in the pictures then it’s not available on that deck. Pictured hubs and Reels NOT included!

NOTE TO WATCHERS: I apologize in advance but there will not be much wiggle room in the price due to the high quality and time and effort bringing this deck to great working order. The shipping is $100 which ALSO includes secure packing and the weight of the deck accounts for the shipping cost. This item will be packed extremely well so it arrives in one piece. Reverb Safe Shipping will also be added to cover both myself and the buyer in the event something should happen during shipment rendering the deck inoperable. DO NOT discard the packing material and box! Decks usually ship out the next business day; sometimes on the same day. Please note, once the item is shipped out, THE SELLER HAS NO CONTROL over how fast it arrives to the buyer.

Due to a number of false "item not as described" claims due to user error and fraudulent claims, A Pre shipment video of each deck operating properly will be filmed the day it ships out and it may be sent to the buyer at anytime. The buyer agrees to accept this as proof the deck left my place in working condition.

Due to the age and vintage nature of these electronics, I cannot offer any kind of warranty. I can, however, give a 7 day guarantee that it will arrive working as described in the listing and if a problem should occur, I will assist in resolving it in any way possible.

Please understand things can and do happen at times, So I am here to help out in any way that I can. Documentation may be requested for any issues that arise so I can determine the best way to resolve them. Leaving 1-star ratings, making threats, rushing to judgment, or other abusive behavior, especially over issues that can just as easily be resolved just by communicating like civilized adults does NOT solve anything. It just creates a hostile trading environment and leads to tensions and negativity. Furthermore, it is a disruption to my workflow.

All items returned for the following reasons will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee:

buyer can't afford it
wife doesn't like it

item works as described but doesnt meet the buyer's expectations or they dont know how to use it
buyer states the item doesnt work as described, but after receiving the item back and testing it, it is determined that no fault was found with the item. In this case a new video will be filmed showing the item in proper working condition. This policy is necessary to make up for lost shop time. the shipping costs will be NON REFUNDABLE. The seller will have the final discretion whether to accept such returns. If a return is granted for any reason, I require up to 3 BUSINESS DAYS After the returned item is received to issue that refund — NO EXCEPTIONS!
