Dot inlays and no binding set this bass apart from the standard Rickenbacker 4003. This style, cherished for its traditional look and rounded edges, was reissued after a steady demand of requests to revive the model.

It features neck through body construction with a solid maple body in a beautiful Fireglo finish, and a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. It has two single coil Ric pickups, Ric tailpiece and bridge, and Schaller Deluxe tuning gears. It has also been updated to include Rickenbacker's improved dual trussrod system. And of course, the famous Rick sound, with solid bass tones, ringing sustain and treble punch is still there.
