The current line of Art & Lutherie guitars are the finest that Godin has made. Starting from humble beginnings as the "value" line within the company's catalogue, they have grown into a series with quality features that any player would respect. The Americana dreadnought offers a solid cedar top, pressure tested to ensure strength and stability. The body is comprised of 3 ply laminated wild cherry. The neck is made from silver leaf maple, and the bridge and fingerboard are rosewood. This guitar has 95% Canadian wood!
Other features that make a difference include a TUSQ (by GraphTech) nut and saddle. This material wears well, and resembles bone in density, suitable for transmitting all the strings' energy through the guitar's top. The nut is 1.72" wide, comfortable without too much girth. The neck has a comfortably round profile, great for chording or fingerstyle playing.
Tuning machines have a nice, aged patina, making this guitar seem just a bit "older" than it actually is.
A key feature of this guitar is the Godin QIT Quantum I pickup system, with onboard preamp. The controls are easy to navigate and provide the player with the quick ability to adjust their tone. The built-in chromatic tuner has a bright, easy to read screen.
IMPORTANT!! This acoustic guitar contains solid tone woods. Therefore, we strongly recommend a proper guitar humidifier to help prevent the guitar from drying out. Many manufacturers will not warranty damage caused as a result of low humidity.
