This is a 1996 San Dimas Charvel owned and Stage played by Marty Friedman during Megadeth's 1999 Risk tour.
The guitar was built specifically to Marty's specs with 3 Seymour Duncan single coil pickups, a fixed strat style bridge with strings strung through the solid body. It has black Sperzel tuners. The volume and tone knobs were placed specifically were Marty requested. The neck has a rosewood finger board.
The guitar was gifted from Marty to Megadeth's drummer at the time (Jimmy DeGrasso) in late 1999 or 2000.
I flew to Philadelphia with a VIP Meet and Greet ticket to see Marty Friedman on 02/18/2019. I brought the guitar with me to have Marty Friedman confirm that the letter from Jimmy DeGrasso, guitar case, and guitar were legit and he said yes! He signed the letter that Jimmy DeGrasso signed. Marty signed his name on the letter in English and Japanese. He signed the back of the headstock and dated it 2/19/19 about 12:30 am after the show. Mr. Friedman is a down to earth and very nice person.
Included is the original guitar, case, and signed letter. I do have a picture of Marty holding the guitar with me beside him. If you would like to upload the picture please let me know. I also have the ticket stub to the show I will include.
The 2 pictures of one corner of the case is were American Airline damaged it. NO Damage at all was done to the inside of case or guitar and the guitar looks brand new. I did have black tape applied to the outside of the case and will provide more pictures ASAP.
