Recently serviced Roland Jupiter 6 with newly re-foamed custom hard case.
Second owner, lovingly kept in my smoke and dust free studio since 2008. Anyone familiar with my discography will have heard this synth on most of my records.
The J6 was used on countless records from the 80s and 90s, including Orbital, Moby, Devo, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, ZZ Top, Duran Duran, Blur, and many more.
The J6 is an incredibly versatile 6 voice polyphony analogue synth. Roland made a couple improvements from the Jupiter 8, to the 6, with midi implementation and better tuning stability.
This synth is functioning perfectly. It has been regularly serviced and maintained since I’ve owned it and recently been fully serviced and professionally cleaned by the Roland specialists at Switched On here in Austin, TX.
There are 3 small blemishes from shipping when I received it from the previous owner. The foam in the case was old and deteriorated, and rubbed on the face plate, and fronts of a few keys (See pictures). The case has since been professionally re-foamed and is in great condition.
