Stunning fretless 2008 Deluxe Turner Renaissance RB5FLS with highly figured and bookmatched Walnut top and back, as well as matching headstock. This spectacular wood is beautifully set off by hemp purfling. The neck is maple with Carbon Fiber, while the fingerboard is Ipe. Scale is 35", and nut width is 1 3/4. A "Dingus" strap balance bar has been installed. Electronics include a D-TAR Timberline pickup matched to an 18 volt preamp. Rather than two 9 volt batteries, though, there is a "6X voltage multiplier" circuit that only uses 2 AA batteries. This achieves the same headroom, but at less weight. It is one of the lightest basses you'll ever strap on, coming in at somewhere around 6 lbs. The serial number is 08 2800. It still has the original Thomastik-Infeld strings on it, but they are virtually unplayed (and since a new set costs about $135, it's probably worth trying to use them). I bought this bass new, but it has only ever been out of the case once or twice. I love the sound and feel, but I have another one that has been my "go to" acoustic/electric bass for years, and I decided to keep this one in collectors condition. It has been stored throughout its life in a temperature/humidity controlled room with the rest of my collection. The bass ships in the original tweed TKL case, which still has the plastic on the clasps.
