21" Vintage 50s Block Stamp Avedis Zildjian Ride Cymbal with sizzle holes but no rivets installed that weighs about 2540 grams. There is a possibility this is one of the models the "Sweet Ride" was later developed to mimic/recreate but I'm sure it sounds far different from a modern Sweet Ride. The sizzle holes are likely not factory but they look fine (they should fit pretty large cymbal rivets). The center hole appears to be slightly "vintage undersized" but it is quite round and there's only minor wear there. There's no cracks. The edges have a couple pretty minor dents and a decent amount of nicks and roughness around the edge (the pics may have some duplicates.. I probably started to go around the edge of the cymbal a second time. There's surface scars and scratches and strange marks but it all should be just fine there. There's patina and stickmarks and discoloration. MY OPINION ON SOUND: It's got a pretty airy, very washy feel but it feels like the wash has a ceiling and the tap is quite "50s jazz". The tap has a pretty low pitch but it's not super "bell-ish" or "musical" It's honestly a difficult cymbal overall to describe. Has a nice curved profile that makes it easy to crash. It's responsive and the crash is sort of a mid-range pitch.. pretty explosive.
