History
Hamer started making guitars near Chicago in 1973. The company's early designs were based on the Gibson 1958 Explorer, Flying V and Les Paul Sunburst. These guitars were so good and so popular, that it inspired Gibson to reintroduce some of these models. Essentially copying the company that they had inspired. The early Hamers have become classics in their own right demanding five figure prices.

This guitar is one from Hamer's imported line. It is true to the original designs in terms of dimensions and specs and offers excellent sound and playability at a very accessible price.

We love these Hamer guitars. They compare very well to the PRS SE Line and high-end Epiphones in the $700 to $800 range. You really get a beautifully built guitar for not a lot of money.

We provide it for free on guitars priced at $300 and up.  A good set up is what makes a hard to play and poor sounding guitar play and sound wonderful. Our clients routinely rave about how well our guitars play and sound. It's like having your own personal guitar tech and this service comes free when you buy a guitar from us.  

We meticulously go through our 66 point process and clean and oil the fingerboards, set the neck relief, action, intonation. We take care of any fret sprout with a fret end dress and include a basic fret level, crown and polish if its needed.  Next we test the electronics, tighten pots and jacks, align knobs and balance the pickups.  Finally we play the guitar to make sure it is playing and sounding its best.
