You will look long and hard to find a vintage Gibson mandolin in this condition, let alone one from 1913.  The condition is like new, and the original case is near perfect.  Examine the photos carefully, look at the tone of the wood.  Look at the beautiful inlay and the coveted Gibson Script on the head and tailpiece.  Look at the perfect condition of the inside hand inked label.  This is a heritage quality mandolin.

Here is my alternate description of the mandolin from a different time:

You will look long and hard for a vintage mandolin as good as this one. Well over 100 years of age, it still looks pristine in SO many ways.   This is the beautiful A3 Gold top, made in the early part of the 20th century. Much sought after by those seeking a warm and clear sound, this mandolin has aged the way it should. Look through the photos.

The neck is straight and strong. The frets perfect. The tone is wonderful. The pick guard and its attachment mechanism are representative of quality American manufacturing from a different era. The binding along the neck, sound hole and edges are ivoroid.   The overall construction tells you this was built to last.   The case is in very good and strong condition, broken handle was replaced with a correct antique style handle. Youtube has many demos of the A3, just search A3 Gibson Mandolins from the 19teens.
