1990 Hamer Californian with Boomerang inlays and full 5A flame maple body in Aztec Gold. The definitive Hamer, catalog front cover guitar! (my opinion ;-)
Comes with the original hardcase, all floyd hardware/arm (not pictured), and some Hamer documentation from when it was ordered from Japan. This one has EMG pickups, and an upgraded floyd rose original. The hardware overall is in good condition with minimal wear. Sounds great and has a bright, cutting timbre.
Overall great shape, but has some superficial points of wear that's popped up over the past 30 years. It has some light checking in the clear coat, and yellowing on the binding, which is pretty standard wear for these. There is a small crack in the back of the neck below the nut - I assume a previous owner upgraded to the original floyd and didn't notice a screw on the nut was slightly longer than the standard one. It has no structural issue and of course it's also quite common to have the screw straight through the neck here. Related, there's small impressions in the clearcoat below the bridge from intonation screws that were too long (original floyd rose screws). I've seen bought custom screws so the bridge has no risk of catching during use. There is also some binding separation on the bass side from glue expansion. I try to point out the issues to look for, please refer to the photos for a more better understanding.
Please allow some days to prepare for boxing and international shipping. Additionally, unfortunately right now there are some countries I can't ship to due to recent EMS service changes. Prior to purchase, please send me a message or google "japan post international service availability by country" and check that shipping to your country is possible (EMS column).
I'm also interested in a Hamer Korina Standard, or perhaps an unusual Californian in some other stain/color. I especially like the green or iridescent ones.
