If you know, you know... Harvey Thomas was a Seattle guitar builder that made some of the most oddball guitars out there, played by the likes of Mott The Hoople. This is a custom build, hence the "BG BENEDETTI" (the customer's name perhaps) in the customary font on the headstock. New tuners, nut, bridge, frets. It plays well but could certainly benefit from a setup. 12th fret action is pictured. The electronics are weird as well, currently the knobs all control volume. Electronics covers are not original and not screwed in, just held in by pressure. Most pickguard screws are missing. The vintage Gibson EBO pickup is stock and sounds absolutely amazing. Lots of wear and patina. So much mojo. Check out the Harvey Thomas stamp under the pickguard.
PRICE REFLECTS THE ABOVE FACTORS. Most of these guitars are museum pieces and go for twice this much. It's an amazing instrument, just not one I play very often, and I'm trying to fund some other purchases. It deserves a little love, a little TLC, and not to collect dust at my place. I will entertain reasonable offers! FREE SHIPPING.
